Today is our last day at Hogar de Ninos and Hannah's Home. We have vowed to the Lord to finish strong! Yesterday, we got to take the kids from Hogar de Ninos to Pucusana to a restaurant to get ice cream. The view was incredible, the ice cream delicious but the smiles were amazing!!!! Most of the children were getting to do something they only get to do twice a year, something we take for granted. Its very easy for us to fall into our routines of eating out, new cars, houses, etc. but I hope and pray we never take for granted the Blessings God has bestowed upon us as a nation and individually.

Today we are finishing up our tasks at Hannah's Home and enjoying the kids in the afternoon. We covet your prayers as the "goodbyes" will surely bring tears. Pray for our safety as we begin travel tomorrow.

Blessings,
Terry

Its Tuesday!

Yesterday was Compassion day for the team. Pam, John and Brian met their kids for the first time and the Hunka family got to visit again. We went to a petting zoo and swam and went down water slides and threw people in the pool in their clothing and shared lunch together and blew bubbles and ate pop rocks the effect of which is greatly accelerated by carbonated beverage. To see Aldier's mom's face when she tried these was priceless. We've been talking a lot about heaven and hell in church lately and how Jesus almost always was referring to bringing one or the other to earth, right here and right now, by what we do and how we treat people. Yesterday we saw a snapshot of the rockin party heaven will be.

And then the hard part. Saying good-bye. It is hard and it is sad and mayebe even awful. We wept but not without the hope of playing together again, even if we never come back to Peru. And what a beautiful thing that is.

We came expecting to give these kids something but received way more from them. So thanks Aldier, Fatima, Maria and Marilla (love bug).
